Population Health
Penn Arts & Sciences has strong interdisciplinary expertise in population health, in areas including child health and development, aging, mortality, fertility, migration, and maternal/women’s health. Within these, faculty dive deep into subjects like how early-life conditions and socioeconomic status shape long-term health and development, what healthcare access means to the health and well-being of aging populations, demographic impacts of migration, and more. And Penn faculty are world experts on developing methodologies for estimating global and national mortality levels and trends.
